Located to the west of Paris, in the Yvelines, this 17^th-century château was once the residence of the couturier Jacques Fath. Damaged by a fire in the 1950s and subsequently altered on several occasions, the property had gradually lost the coherence of its decorative scheme and much of its original character.

The current owners entrusted Michel Pinet with the task of restoring the ensemble to its former prestige and authenticity. The house underwent a complete restoration, accompanied by the recreation of the interior decoration in keeping with the surviving historic elements. This work has allowed the property to recover its original elegance and harmony.

Michel Pinet also assisted his clients in the selection of furniture, textiles and decorative elements, in order to compose coherent interiors faithful to the spirit of the property.

The project extended across the entire estate: the creation of vernacular-inspired outbuildings, conceived in an authentic spirit and in harmony with the existing structures; the design of a classical-style summer pavilion discreetly incorporating a covered swimming pool; the restoration of the dependencies; and the creation of an English-style garden. Conceived as a true landscape setting, the garden enhances the house through a carefully composed play of perspectives and views.

Michel Pinet continues to assist the owners today in the upkeep and ongoing development of this family property.
